David Kovel comments to the WSJ regarding new DOJ whistleblower pilot program

Published in: The Wall Street Journal
NEW YORK - Partner David Kovel commented to the Wall Street Journal in support of a new pilot whistleblower program launched on August 6 by the U.S. Department of Justice.  The program is intended to bridge gaps left between similar, existing incentive programs overseen by other agencies.

Mr. Kovel, who represents whistleblowers under the CFTC, SEC, IRS and Dodd-Frank whistleblower programs, including the individual who received the largest-ever individual commodities whistleblower award -- nearly $200 million (CFTC WB Award No. 21-WB-07) -- offered positive words, noting, “[t]his is a group that is enthusiastic about trying to bring whistleblowers in.  It strikes me as the right attitude for success.”
