Biography
Elaine Mui is KM's Chief Operating Officer and is based in our New York office.
Ms. Mui is involved in the management and organization of day-to-day operations at KM. She is responsible for all phases of administration, business planning, personnel, facilities, technology, and security. Ms. Mui also focuses on settlements and settlement administration as well as financial analysis for securities litigation matters.
Prior to joining KM, Ms. Mui was a Vice President at two New York-based hedge funds: Drake Management and Plural Investments.
At Drake, Ms. Mui negotiated trading documentation including ISDA master agreements, repurchase agreements, prime brokerage services agreements, and futures agreements. At Plural, Ms. Mui drafted and negotiated trading documentation as well as vendor and other business agreements, and monitored the firm’s compliance program with a focus on trading compliance, regulatory matters, and internal rules. Trading compliance matters included maintaining a restricted trading list, conducting analysis for soft dollar distributions, evaluating trades involving non-public information, and monitoring trading activity for fraud. She also assisted with the firm’s anti-money laundering policy and due diligence matters regarding employees, counterparties, and vendors.
